One Man Song....

Quite recently I came across an article that was quite mind-blowing. A guy by the name of Mike Tompkins has this incredible talent. He is an A Capella Singer. Which means that only one person sings a song with all of the background music by beat-boxing. This type of talent takes a lot of time as you have to play each part separately. For example. If he is playing Dynamite By Taio Cruz, he has to play the bass sound throughout the song. Then he moves onto another part and then combines all of the videos into one big video. The sound may seem off by a bit in the back round but it is pretty close all-in-all. Here is a video of him singing/beatboxing on Dynamite CLICK ME.

The end of the year....

Top ten events of the year 2010

Starting off with number 1
1. The Haiti earthquake which happened on January 12th, it was a very devastating event in which 230 thousand people died and with many more injured. To this day there are still many people living in tent cities. To make all of this worse new diseases have wandered into the city (cholera).
2. An organization known as Wikileaks has leaked over 600 thousand videos, documents, and articles. Most of which were about of how the U.S. felt about another country.
3. Stuck underground (2300ft) for 69 days were the Chilean Miners. There were 33 men stuck in a copper mine in San Jose, Chile. This event marked the bravery and the faith they put into their work. Shortly after this mine collapsed another mine in New Zealand fell killing 29 miners.
4. The Pakistan floods were another disaster that struck in July which was triggered by monsoon rains. The entire damage was estimated to be 43 billion dollars to their economy.
5. North Korea’s threats to attack the south were fueled with even more rage when they found out that the U.S. was having training exercises with the South.
6. The South African world cup was a hit. For many reasons being that Spain won their first world cup title and the German octopus guessing that correctly.
7. You can’t possibly forget about the underwear bomb that was brought in from Yemen from a Nigerian man under the influence of Al Qaeda.
8. The Mexican drug war was also a pretty bad event in which 3,000 people died because of 1 man and 400 corrupted officials.
9. When there is oil around the gulf floating around, it’s probably BP where over 120 days were used in cleaning. People living there still are cleaning up the mess the BP company left.
10. The grand arrival of the Apple Ipad was also quite a big event because over 3 million of this tablet like devices was sold in an 80 day period.

Is that even Possible?

Quite recently ( about 1 or 2 days ago) a professor at Kansas State University ate nothing above 1,800 calories with 2/3 of it being junk food. The other 1/3 of it was a vitamin, a few celery stalks a protein shake, and a can of green beans. Now all that seem like it has a lot of calories, but its just a tiny part of his diet. He only ate junk food like chips, donuts, and a BUNCH of Twinkie. You do that for 2 months you lose 27lbs... Interesting eh? He (the professor) says that he would is not "geared" to say if you should try this feat. He says the nutritional value on every packet of food is sometimes a lie. His cholesterol has lowered by 20% and seems that he has become much more healthier. To me this might be another innovative ( not really) way of losing weight. Or you could just eat a lot less....

Through the years...

Together we can
Have fun as two is company and one is none,
Together we can laugh and play, make a goal and shout hooray.

Together we can give a helping hand,
Remove the obstacles, be happy and celebrate like a band.

Together we can conquer the world with love, peace and friendship.
Indulge in prosperity, popularity and have no irregularity.

Together we can bounce up and down
Make a difference, speak out loud, show the power of “we” and plant a thousand trees.

Together we can cook a pot roast
Enjoy the meal and make a toast to
Far and near without a cup of champagne or beer.

Together we can share goodies
Taking turns eating éclairs
remembering the old times.

Same concept as before different wording =)

Together we can

Together we can create the 9 fold path,
One step after another
Progressing day by day,
Worrying about the smallest of things,
Making mistakes into corrections
Trying to do to things all alone with out the help of peers and adults
One can accomplish, but he can’t finish it, but
Together we can,
Build on education,
Make more jobs,
Together we can do
What the other generations couldn’t possibly think of
Together we can,
Create roads from point A to point B
Finish what they left for us.

Luck

Luck , my friend is like a bar of gold. When I first read this poem by Langston Hughes I was very entertained as the poem was written in a different style, not the one you read that always rhymes or the one which has a basic meaning throughout the poem itself. The following poem is very enjoyable as it has reality not the future.

Sometimes a crumb falls
From the table of joy
Sometimes a bone
Is flung.

To some people
Love is given,
To others
Only heaven.
( Written in exact format and words of Langston Hughes)

Now I could analyze the poem , tell you the meaning of each sentence by picking out parts, and explain the real definition of each piece. Instead I'll tell you what Luck is. It is like a fairy tale that people really believe in (even myself). It is a man-made thing just like time. When you win the lottery out of 1,000 people for a few thousand dollars, it is chance (chance [chans, chahns] Show IPA noun, verb, chanced, chanc·ing, adjective:an opportune or favorable time; opportunity [ CREDIT TO DICTIONARY.COM]). I am not trying to make you hopeless with luck, but just showing a point. The thing with luck is is that if you do end up getting it, you can say that you just met a leprechaun that just slid off the rainbow. Luck also relies on karma... You do bad you get bad, you do good you get good. The good thing about luck is that when luck come is comes with heavy rewards. Like I said luck is a bar of gold.

The Power Of Change

CLICKChange is strong. It can beat a heavyweight champion. You know how? It is because change happens to be fast. If someone tries to hit change you'll end up missing because it is unpredictable. It may be just an idea not a living thing but it can do things to an unbelievable extent. Barry Bonds could still be playing baseball right now , but he isn't he changed his way of living and took up drugs. Walt Disney was also very incredible but he too changed to becoming a smoker. There are people that change from bad to good and people who change from good to bad. U.S.'s current president's idea was to change. He has shown us that change may not come easy , but it makes a big difference. Where ever you go, keep change in mind, it'll help you in any situation. Change comes only when you want it to, no matter the condition chne will be there and ready to follow you at any cost. Bravery+ Courage-Truth/Pain= CHANGE!

Robots

When I was 3 years old my mother was always making cakes and goodies in the kitchen. I once told her that she should get a robot. Well now it is possible. Starting in mid-august there will be a robot ( made in Spain). It can make decisions, be emotional, and adapt your voice. The makers of this product say that its main purpose is to be a human companion. There still isn't a price tag on it. This robot sounds pretty high tech and expensive but it probably worth it. This robot also listens to your com ands and can be VERY unpredictable at times. It is amazing how we have went from sending mails to hovercraft's to travel. I am really excited to see how this new product will turn out. =)

The Gulf

The gulf of mexico isn't exactly a place to be right now after all the oil spills that have exceeded over 100 days. It may be just an oil spill, but for some people it is not. 11 people died in this tragic accident. Throughout the 100 day + span many fingers were pointed at one or another. Why is that? It's because no one wanted to take the blame of the deaths and wasted oil in the gulf. Well in the end the most innocent become the bad guys.BP was very careless in my opinion. It took them 15-20 days to just figure out how to stop it and how many barrels of oil were flowing out each day. Then ships. it took another 10 days to get the proper equipment and the right ships. Bp went from a green company to the fourth state. BP is the company to blame, but of course there are others like our president (no offense). What is the point of fighting in Iraq when U.S. can't handle their own supply of oil? So many soldiers are dieing in Iraq just to get the oil there to bring back to U.S. It just common sense and that too simple common sense. Mother nature has been hurt greatly the beaches may look pretty but really they are injured.

Apple

What is Apple? Perhaps a fruit? Yes and no, it is a company with cool tech items and yes its also a fruit. Apple is one of those company's that want to take over the entire computer and tech industry. It may be high quality but otherwise its another company. The i phone 4 was a flop, the i pad was a flop, whats next a video game console flop? Mr.Jobs , I have to tell you one thing right of the bat... You can't keep giving excuses for things that don't work, like the Iphone 4. Just admit it worse case scenario is that people are going to return it. "Life is tough , wear a helmet" -Lauren Conrad. It is time you wore that helmet Mr.Jobs. If you read this article you'll find what Mr.Jobs really thinks abut his customers. Sometime you just can't change people no matter how much you try. If Mr.Jobs wants to act on the offensive, looks like he going to have a tough time getting through america's defensive end. I hope he will learn a lesson soon when his new product comes out.

Just Wonder....

Just wonder... What you can do with so little....picking up a piece of trash, riding a public bus, taking two minutes showers...Well you can its all about choice. To ride a bike without a helmet, to do drugs, or even to make your day the greatest.... OR not. We all have to make decisions on important things in everyday life. NOW just wonder what you can do when you don't waste things; You won't feel guilty for the children of Africa, because every time you through away food 1 child in Africa goes hungry. When you throw water down the drain 1 child in India doesn't get water that ENTIRE day. When you thrown paper in the green waste bucket, 1 person at the garbage company doesn't go home early due to your rudeness. If you really think about this you do feel angry at yourself for you actions in the past.If you just wonder you can do just about anything without being told to do it.

Education

The Star,Gate,SATs,CoGats are just another test right? WRONG! It is the start of torture, but then again if you don't study you'll end up flipping burgers just like Bob. Now watch the following video it is after all a perfect example:Here. I guess your life sort of depends on your educational foundation. Then again who likes to study all the time? Even Einstein rode his bike outside of his house in Germany. Studying is a good thing ,but enjoying life is better. You might do extra math practice at home and then take a break, then go back to your studies. I even prefer that, but the schools around the world have different opinions. They think that by making their students study their school will score high test averages for bragging rights and to gain reputation for that school. Teaching discipline is one thing and using it to their advantage is another. Sure our school teaches us properly and keeps us encourage ,but what are they really up to? If you ever have free time , think about it. I have met great teachers along my educational career they taught me lots of things and in return I was forced to pay them back by using what I had learned to do well on my tests. Moving on, College applications. Sure they are annoying to think about , but just look at it this way; All your accomplishments on a page to earn your freedom to one-step closer to adult-hood. I must say that college applications are another form of pressure. They are a pain in the neck, even though I haven't done one for myself. Look at Stanford,Yale and Harvard for example; They may have strict laws and top students , but they are another just wanna-be school. Sure they are expensive but they are just another school wanting the title of best school in the country. I am not trying to show hatred or anything just trying to show the facts of the real world.

Red Woods

They spring from their roots
To grow towards the sun
And show off their beauty and wealth
It seems like the tree's are from heaven
Some meant to be homes
Others there for show
It is like god's gift
Cutting them down is like a blow in the gut
Looking at them itself is something to brag about
Touching them is like meeting a famous person...

Who I Am

I am another person
Trying to live live to its fullest
waking up early
sleeping late
Enjoying life until it finishes
Following different routines
Bringing strait A's on my report card
Passing each class with ease
Going outside Hanging with friends
Coming home eating dinner
Reading a book
Watching T.V.
Playing video games
Doing the laundry
Doing the dishes
Sitting on Facebook
Going to school , bragging about grades
Watching a movie
Helping the old lady cross the street
But none of this changes me as a person
Because I am who I am and no one is EVER change that in this life.

Our World

It’s full of lies
It’s full of Happiness
It’s full of hatred
It’s full of love
It’s full of secrets
All it lacks is the key of the world
It’s better than the sun
It’s worse then what it was 500 year ago
We possibly can’t put the world in worse condition then it is now
Well we are all wrong.

Typical Life

Life leads you through the harshest of times
It leaves you just as fast, like a traitor
If you’re lucky a miracle just might visit
But don’t count on it
As life is the eighth wonder of the world
A mystery waiting to be solved
Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew tried but they never succeeded
I guess life is another test, just without the answer.
Life is undefined just like five being divided by zero
Life is a roller-coaster with the ups and downs.
Enjoy life as much you want while you can.

Time UP

Summer is here
School is almost out
Empty pools waiting to be filled
Ice cream stands waiting to sell
Windows waiting to be broken
Anxious kids waiting when the bell will ring
Grabbing there back packs running home
Never looking back
Just the path that has been laid ahead of them
90 days of break passes by
The sight of School is not a pretty one at all
But what can we do other then to attend and get it over with.

The Kick

When the Soccer ball takes it flight
It signals the start of a journey
Going more then a thousand steps
To the most extraordinary place you could think of
But quite the opposite seems to happen
As life comes with a price
Of ups and downs
Back and Forth
Side to side
Tears to Joy
Fights to Friendship
Wars to Peace
And...
After a while your journey comes to an end
leaving everything behind
And soon you find yourself where you were
Ready to kick the soccer ball
to start a new Journey.....

The need

The need of parents
The need of love
And the need of happiness
Is all a young homeless or an orphan wants
Everyday I think about how lucky I am
To have parents that love me and keep me happy
I feel like a king living up to life
Doing whatever I want
Whereas kids like me sit there waiting for someone to adopt them
To take them away so that all their sorrowfulness is emptied
To take them away and give them to reason to live life to its fullest
To take them away and give them love
Thats all one need to live life

2011

In 2011 a new type of T.V. is going to be released. This television will be 3-d like in a movie theater. Sony has already started testing worth of 5 hours on how to get the T.V. to "pop out" on you. A project manager t Sony says that they don't have enough technology yet to finish the project. Some other employees think that this is a piece of cake, which in my opinion is not. The down side to this is that with a 3-d T.V. you will have to wear those glasses that you wear at movie theaters. Overall Sony and other big T.V. companies think that this will be a success. They also think that this will bring a new era to technology. This product is not one of those things I am not excited about as it doesn't make any sense to watch "3-D" T.V., it just doesn't seem right.

Life

Somewhere out there
Babies are being born
People are dying
The loss of one and the birth of another
Another day at the hospital
Here I am sitting at home
Praying for the helpless
Wishing for a better world
Roads are dirty
Palaces clean
The poor, the rich
If only
All united
If only
All the problems were solved
It would be a better place to live in.

The Earth

By Mohak Rastogi

A ball of a blue ice
Firey Hot inside
Shining bright at night
Moving around the sun
Not once not twice not thrice
But three-hundred sixty five
Taking the burden of everything
Spinning around on its axis
Care for mother earth
And it'll care for you

Leonardo Da Vinci

Any person would know when Leonardo Da Vinci was born and when he died, April 15, 1452 to May 2, 1519. Wrong. Many people know about Da Vinci and who he was , but many people also don't know how he became the person he was. A few years after birth his mother went off to a neighboring town to marry another man. Altogether Da vinci had 17 half brothers and sisters. In my opinion Leonardo was Nostradamus in another form. He was also like Einstein with a unique way thinking. Leonardo created many great designs of todays important things like the Airplane, Gruesome military weapons, and the helicopter. He was a very remarkable man. He didn't go to school at all and he taught himself ( 9-10 subjects). He was a very remarkable man.

Apple

Apple is a great company all in all, yet its last product the I pad, didn't do so well in the market. Why? I have no idea. Maybe Apple was in dire need of money or they just didn't spend time on this machine. In my point of view, the new piece of equipment was basically a bigger version of the I phone. Some people may say its a mix of a computer and a laptop, I'd look again. The I Pad weighs 1.5lbs and 0.5in thick. The plus side? 10 hours of battery. Many of the features are just all about how it looks like, not how it helps. Maybe that was one of the reasons it didn't sell, not enough information on the product. On the day of the opening Apple sold 300K Ipads, most of which people didn't like. If you go to the following website you may find how well the I Pad actually did against critics.

2012

When you hear about the worlds end in 2012 does it strike fear in your heart? Do you really believe such thing could possible happen? You may have your proof and doubt. From my point of view it is just a little joke turned into a big controversy. Still don't believe me? Read on. People always refer to the Mayan calender ending on 2012, I think the Mayans just forgot to add the next year. Take this for an example: Say I am the current president and I suddenly declare the world will end in 7 years. There is no proof from my side that it will end. Now that my point is proven lets move on. Even if it wasn't declared then why does the Mayan calender end? Simple answer: Its because something extraordinary happens. Here is an excerpt of a passage that explains it all:

The cosmic cross formed by the intersecting Milky Way and plane of the ecliptic was called the Sacred Tree by the Maya. The trunk of the tree, the Axis Mundi, is the Milky Way, and the main branch intersecting the tree is the plane of the ecliptic. Mythically, at sunrise on December 21, 2012, the Sun - our Father - rises to conjoin the center of the Sacred Tree, the World Tree, the Tree of Life. (Credit to http://www.planetpapp.com/br21december2012/)

The Mayan calender ends at that day for this very rare event. Not the end of the world
Now your thoughts must have wondered to Michel de Nostredame A.K.A Nostradamus. He may have predicted War in the middle east, and the growth in military in three great powers, but he has got it all wrong with the end of the papacy. As listed in the book The Further Prophecies of Nostradamus By Erika Cheetham. In the beginning of the chapter it states that some of the predictions made may not come true and that some of the predictions should not be even stated. I guess your thoughts have shifted towards the movie 2012. That movie is all fiction with U.S. saving the world... no need to worry about it :). 2012? If you still believe it... enjoy 2 more years of life while the rest of us can enjoy a lot more then that. By the way Nasa predicts something great will happen in 2020.

April

April is the month that everyone waits for.
The flowers bloom,
the rain drips,
and the sun shines.
April is one of a kind.
The month when nature wakes up
It comes and goes by
with 30 days in count
April springs in and bounces out.
Without a chance to pout.

The spring

The days are long and cold
Without the sweet songs of the birds
Or the laughs of little kids running through sprinklers
Where have those days gone?
When the wind blows the clouds
The sun seems to fight back.
As they battle
The days go by
Coming closer and Closer to spring.
At last the it has won!!!
As the days go by
The air fills with laughter and Songs
Those days have come back
The Battle of the Sun and the clouds
Have come together
To make a
RAINBOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHAT WOULD YOU DO!?!?!?!

What would you do if you had 350mil dollars? First of all I would put some of the money into my sisters and my college funds. That would probably give me a 200 million dollars left. I would give 50 million dollars to my parents and 25 million dollars to my sister and myself. Well with 100 million dollars left I would give it to charity for kids who can't afford some of the things you and I can. Well there would be a few things I would like to buy with my money which would help me and the earth at the same time a 25 acre garden with 500 gardeners. I would also open a homeless shelter in San Francisco for all the people there. I can only guess but i think my sister would buy a ton of clothes and art supplies for her self. If I were to keep all the money i would give 300million dollars to the needy as they would need it more then I would ( way better then spending it on video games)!

Sunday, March 14, 2010

Perfect

My Idea of a perfect day is when I can just sit in front of the television watching my favorite sport, video games or go out to play with my friends. A perfect day would also be a day when the weather is really nice outside, when I can have my favorite food, tacos, pizza, fruits and ice cream. A day when I am not asked to do any work. This day would not be perfect if my sister would be around to annoy me. Another day that would be like this would be my birthday!!!

Cards!!!

Did you know that there are about 100 different types of cards!?! Let me name one, a Credit Card which is used to buy stuff with. It also is made out of plastic is a bad way to pay for groceries. The actual definition of a Credit Card is that it is a type of loaning machine. We don't actually pay up the amount right there, it just keeps a track of of what we have bought and what we haven't and then at the end of the month you pay the debt all up. I also have a few trading cards for football and in mint condition for the last seven years! I would stay and name all of the types of cards but I don't have the time right now!

Tests~ Best way to study

Many people think tests are hard. Many of them are easy and many of them are equally hard. I find most test easy as I always read the chapter two times and then go over what I don't know. I once read a book and it stated that tests prove nothing and its like another homework assignment without anyone helping you. When I took my first test I was so nervous that i finished my water bottle twice. Next time you take a test read the chapter as its the best way to study.

Awards

How many trophies do you have? I have a few. Whenever I look at them they send me to a memory relating to that trophy. It is sort of like a time portal in your room. For example my championship trophy from 2006 reminds me of a hard battle fought between two rival teams tied for first place in baseball. It was a nice sunny day with many baseball fans around. It was just like a real stadium without the big flood lights. To make a long story short my team won in the 15th inning. The award ceremony was the best part of that memory. Another trophy I had won (came second place) was for almost beating the best team in seven years. I think this quote said by Ernie Banks is true because our team was also awarded the best players in town. Well here's what Mr.Bank's said: The only way to prove that you're a good sport is to lose. Trophies aren't the best thing a person could have but the value of them to me is priceless.

CARS

My favorite type of car is one that is fuel efficient and fast. For example the Lamborghini solar ( not actual name). It runs on solar cells and you never have to worry for fuel. Another one of my top picks is the Prius. It is fast and it runs on electricity. You can get up to 40 miles per gallon. It is also a hybrid. Car that aren't good at all are most Buicks and old cars. They cause 25% of global warming. These are just some cars out of millions. What are your favorite type of cars?

1 wish

If i had 1 wish i would wish for no more poverty in the world. When i hear that word it makes me want to walk over to Africa, or some other place and just help them one by one until each person is happy. Every once in a while you can take a few dollars from your chores and just send it to a donation fund or just buy something from somewhere where the money goes to the place that made it. When I help someone in need I always get this feeling where I have made a difference in the world by help one person accomplish their task.

Why not?

I do not know why
It has no reason to stop
Snowing and raining
