2012

When you hear about the worlds end in 2012 does it strike fear in your heart? Do you really believe such thing could possible happen? You may have your proof and doubt. From my point of view it is just a little joke turned into a big controversy. Still don't believe me? Read on. People always refer to the Mayan calender ending on 2012, I think the Mayans just forgot to add the next year. Take this for an example: Say I am the current president and I suddenly declare the world will end in 7 years. There is no proof from my side that it will end. Now that my point is proven lets move on. Even if it wasn't declared then why does the Mayan calender end? Simple answer: Its because something extraordinary happens. Here is an excerpt of a passage that explains it all:

The cosmic cross formed by the intersecting Milky Way and plane of the ecliptic was called the Sacred Tree by the Maya. The trunk of the tree, the Axis Mundi, is the Milky Way, and the main branch intersecting the tree is the plane of the ecliptic. Mythically, at sunrise on December 21, 2012, the Sun - our Father - rises to conjoin the center of the Sacred Tree, the World Tree, the Tree of Life. The Mayan calender ends at that day for this very rare event. Not the end of the world
Now your thoughts must have wondered to Michel de Nostredame A.K.A Nostradamus. He may have predicted War in the middle east, and the growth in military in three great powers, but he has got it all wrong with the end of the papacy. As listed in the book The Further Prophecies of Nostradamus By Erika Cheetham. In the beginning of the chapter it states that some of the predictions made may not come true and that some of the predictions should not be even stated. I guess your thoughts have shifted towards the movie 2012. That movie is all fiction with U.S. saving the world... no need to worry about it :). 2012? If you still believe it... enjoy 2 more years of life while the rest of us can enjoy a lot more then that. By the way Nasa predicts something great will happen in 2020.
